Indoor House Rules

6 field players and 1 goalie.

Game play: The match will be played in two 25-minute halves with a 5-minute half time.

OT: Overtime only applies for playoff matches. OT in a playoff game will be one 5-minute session of golden goal soccer. If a team breaks the tie in the OT session, they win the game. If still tied after 5 minutes there will be PK’s from the mark at the top of the box. Each team will start with 3 kickers. If still tied after the first 3 kickers attempt to score the PK’s will go one for one until there is a winner. Anybody on the roster can take a kick even if NOT on the field at the final whistle.

No Offsides

No Slide Tackling, however sliding is permitted in the open field if it’s to gain possession of a misplayed ball. Keepers may slide to make a save or gain possession of a ball in the box but must do so using their body not their feet first. A call for Feet first keeper tackles are at referee’s discretion and could result in a yellow card.

Substitutions: This can be done on the fly. The player leaving the field must be completely off the field before the substituting player may enter.

CARDS: Any player receiving a yellow card must leave the field for 1 minute and the team must play down a man for this time. Any player receiving a straight red card must leave the field and not return. The team must play a man down for 3 minutes. After 3 minutes a new player may replace the red carded (ejected) player. If a player receives a second yellow card they must leave the field and not return. The team must play a man down for 3 minutes. A player may replace the ejected player after the 3-minute period. Any player receiving a straight red card will automatically be suspended for the next scheduled game. A player receiving two yellows that equals a red card will have to sit out the rest of the game. Player may be eligible to return to the next game depending on the severity of the yellow cards. The players return is based on league discretion. If a keeper receives a yellow card, he may stay in the game. The opposing team can choose which field player will serve the 1-minute penalty. If a keeper receives a straight red card or two yellows the keeper must exit the game. The keeper can be replaced but the team must play down a man for 3 minutes. Opposing team chooses which player serves the penalty.

Out of bounds/Dead balls: any ball that crosses the sidelines must be thrown in. No more kicks ins. Any ball that hits the ceiling is a dead ball and becomes a direct kick for the team that did not possess the ball. The ball is to be placed on the turf directly below where the ball hits the ceiling. Placement Exception: DEFENDING SIDE: Any ball that hits the ceiling above the box gets placed anywhere on the blue line for direct kick. Offensively: Any ball that hits the ceiling will result in a goal kick.

Direct kicks: All kicks are direct kicks.

Goal kicks/Corner Kicks: Business as usual

PK’s: Taken from the top of the box not the dot.

Keeper rules: No punts. Throws, putting the ball on the ground and kicking it out are both acceptable. . If a keeper receives a yellow card, he may stay in the game. Registration: All Players must be registered to play. In the spirit of less forfeits. (*Except for the playoffs*) Players may fill in for other teams if they are registered with the league. Players may NOT fill in for other teams for playoffs. (Want to prevent “ringers”).
